NHS Equality Delivery System
The Equality Delivery System (EDS2) is a national toolkit that helps us to provide better working practices and environments, free of discrimination.
We use the EDS2 to help set our equality objectives as required by the Public Sector Equality Duty.
It helps us to understand how well we are responding to the equality issues that matter most to patients and staff. It also tracks our performance against national benchmarks, including the NHS Outcomes Framework and Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidance.

EDS2 2019
We are currently in the process of applying the EDS2 framework for the first time.
To do this we recruited both an internal panel and an external panel of volunteers to assess evidence of our performance on equality and diversity.
We will be sharing the results of this process very soon.
