Description: The JSNA identifies the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the local Bristol population.
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is an ongoing process to identify the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the local Bristol population. Bristol City Council and NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group have equal and joint duties to prepare the JSNA through Bristol’s Health and Wellbeing Board.
The JSNA should inform decisions about how we design, commission and deliver services (both now and in the future), to improve and protect health and wellbeing across the city, while reducing health inequalities. The JSNA also provides the data to update Bristol’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy and will inform the emerging One City approach.
