This policy confirms that patients who are identified as having a High Risk of developing Breast Cancer are eligible to access a Risk Reducing Mastectomy without the need to secure additional funding. For patients who do not have a clinically identified High Risk of developing Breast Cancer but wish to request a Mastectomy then an application for funding must be submitted to the Exceptional Funding Request Panel.
