Research and evidence

NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB is committed to improving care for our patients through creating a culture of robust, well-evidenced healthcare commissioning and more impactful research.

Our Research Team supports high-quality research, from the development of very early ideas to embedding evidence into practice.

We support the co-development of research with under-served communities through the Research Engagement Network and GP Deep End Network.

We also support colleagues working across the Healthier Together system to plan, set up and deliver research.

The team works closely with colleagues in the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England and across the wider NHS, enabling us to align the research activity of our local universities with the priorities and challenges of the NHS.
