Mandy is an experienced leader with a 25+ year track record in senior public sector roles, engaging politicians, partners and communities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services.

Currently, as CEO at North Somerset Council, Mandy oversees strategy, policy and delivery, working closely with private, public and VCS partners and our wonderful communities.

This follows earlier roles with the council, as well as Bath and North East Somerset, Newport City and Bristol City Councils, characterised by a commitment to achieving performance, value and quality of service through effective leadership, innovation in best practices, and partnerships.

Mandy leads strategic and delivery of first-class outcomes for highly complex public sector organisations, with a strong record of fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance, customer experience and employee engagement. She is deeply experienced in public sector commissioning, partnerships and oversight of capital programmes. She governs substantive transformation work, including large-scale service redesign, organisational restructure, IT and digital deployment.

Mandy builds high-performance teams across multiple functions and dispersed workforces, providing authentic, visible and transparent leadership that fosters strong retention and engagement. She recruits and develops cohesive leadership teams that share clear organisational vision and goals, and is a committed mentor and coach.
