Dr Lee grew up in London and studied medicine at the University of Southampton. After qualifying, he completed his training in primary and secondary care settings in Gloucestershire and Bath.
In 2011, he joined general practice in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as a GP partner at Frome Valley Medical Centre. He has also worked as a clinical guardian GP for out-of-hours primary care provider Brisdoc and as medical director for One Care, the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire GP federation.
Since 2018, Dr Lee has been a GP partner at Horfield Health Centre in Bristol. He is the clinical lead for the North and West locality, chair of North and West locality forum, and chair of the GP Collaborative Board.
Dr Lee is a longstanding advocate of relational continuity of care for patients. He was the clinical lead for the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire element of a Health Foundation continuity of care project and gave expert evidence on its benefits to the Health and Social CareĀ Parliamentary Select Committee.
