Our equality objectives

The law requires us to set specific and measurable equality objectives as an organisation. Our equality objectives are outlined in an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy, which was approved by our Governing Body in April 2019.

They are:

  • Objective 1: Improve the use of equality analysis data in our commissioning cycle.
  • Objective 2: Build strong relationships with protected groups and communities to better understand their needs and improve our equality data.
  • Objective 3: Promote workforce equality and improve representation through effective employment practices.
  • Objective 4: Develop inclusive leadership throughout the CCG.

This strategy sets out our ambition to become a leader and best practice organisation in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Progress of the strategy is overseen by an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Forum (EDIF), made up of colleagues from across the organisation, and chaired at executive level by our Director of Transformation, Deborah El-Sayed.
